It began with a simple wish: to care for my family in a more natural, thoughtful way.
That search led me back nearly 900 years, to Europe's rich herbal heritage — a time when plants were woven into everyday life and wellbeing.
Inspired by this forgotten knowledge, I created CaruWild to bring traditional botanical wisdom into modern life.

Chapter one
It started at my kitchen table
Like so many mothers, I wanted to make more thoughtful choices for my family. I began looking more closely at the ingredients we used every day, asking questions and discovering the remarkable world of herbs.
What started as curiosity became a passion. Books gathered, notes filled pages, and I began exploring how plants had been used and valued for generations.
Slowly, that curiosity grew into something much bigger.
Every journey begins with a question. Mine began with a wish to do things differently.
Chapter two
Then I found a forgotten world
Long before supermarket shelves, Europe’s herbalists filled monastery gardens and handwritten books with the plants they grew, gathered and steeped. Nearly 900 years ago, an abbess named Hildegard von Bingen wrote of viriditas, the greening power she saw in every living thing.
Her words, and those of the herbalists who came after her, stopped me in my tracks. So much knowledge, so carefully recorded, and so much of it forgotten. I knew I wanted to bring it back to the table.

So I made Caruwild
Caru means love. Caruwild means love wild.
