Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before your workshop. Can’t find your answer? We’re always happy to help.

Do I need any experience?

Not at all. The workshop is designed for complete beginners, and we’ll guide you through every step. If you already know your herbs, there’s still plenty to explore.

What’s included in the price?

Your ticket includes a three-hour guided session, unlimited tea from our Open Tea Bar, all the herbs and botanicals you’ll use on the day, and everything you take home: three custom blends, a tea infuser and your recipe journal.

Where is the workshop held?

[Venue name], [street address], Ditchling Common, [postcode].

[Parking: e.g. free parking on site / nearest car park.] [Nearest station and walking time.] We’ll email full directions before your workshop.

Is the venue accessible?

[Describe access: step-free entrance, accessible toilet, seating.] If you have any access needs, please get in touch before booking and we’ll do our best to help.

What should I bring?

Just yourself. Everything you need is provided. Wear something comfortable, and bring your reading glasses if you use them, as you’ll be looking closely at herbs and labels.

What is intuitive tea reading?

[Explain in one or two sentences what this part of the session involves, and that it’s light-hearted and optional if that’s the case.]

I’m pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication. Can I still come?

Yes, you’re very welcome. Some herbs aren’t suitable during pregnancy or alongside certain medications, so please let us know when you book and we’ll guide you towards suitable botanicals on the day.

The workshop is educational and isn’t a substitute for medical advice. If you’re unsure, check with your GP or pharmacist before drinking new herbal blends.

I have allergies. Is that a problem?

Please tell us about any allergies when you book. We work with a wide range of dried flowers and herbs, including plants from the daisy family such as chamomile, so we’ll make sure you know what’s in each jar and can avoid anything that doesn’t agree with you.

Is there a minimum age?

[e.g. The workshop is suitable for ages 16 and over. Under-18s must be accompanied by a booked adult.]

Can I cancel or change my booking?

[e.g. If you can’t make it, you can transfer to another date free of charge with at least 7 days’ notice. Bookings cancelled with less than 7 days’ notice can’t be refunded, but you’re welcome to send a friend in your place.]

What happens if the workshop is cancelled?

In the unlikely event we need to cancel, we’ll contact you as soon as possible and offer a place on another date or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Can I buy a workshop as a gift?

Yes. Our gift vouchers make a lovely present for any tea lover and can be used to book any workshop date. [Vouchers are valid for 12 months.]

Do you run private workshops?

Yes. We can host private sessions for birthdays, hen parties, friendship groups and team days. Get in touch to tell us what you have in mind and we’ll put together a quote.
